We invite our customers to join the basic OWD scuba diving course. The warm Red Sea all year round, amazing reefs and calm waters of Eilat are the perfect combination for scuba diving beginners. With the professional and caring attitude of our instructors, the OWD course will be a great and enjoyable start to your scuba diving progress. Practice your skills at a relaxed and safe pace, discover scuba diving step by step, and feel confident in your skills to enjoy new levels of scuba diving further.
After completing the course, participants undergo tests in real scuba diving conditions and receive a scuba diver's license, which will subsequently allow them to independently dive underwater with scuba gear to a depth of up to 18 meters. If you're new, start with our Intro Dive!
Our open-water diving course is a one-fits-all guide for scuba diving fans who still cannot boast of a huge diving experience. During this course, you’ll get the following opportunities:

Everything you need to know about OWD course experience
The program is suitable for individuals aged 12 and older. Participants aged 12–15 completing the Advanced course will receive a Junior certification with a maximum diving depth of 18 meters. Once turning 15, they may upgrade to 30 meters and receive the full Advanced certification.
Yes. A basic health declaration is required for all participants. Divers aged 45 and older must complete additional medical forms before starting the course.
Yes, basic swimming skills are required to participate in the OWD course.
Yes. Both theoretical and practical modules must be completed to receive your certification.
The activity usually runs from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, depending on the course structure. A lunch break is included during the day.
Flying is strictly prohibited for at least 24 hours after a day of diving. You can fly before diving with no restrictions.
Please bring: Swimsuit Towel Flip-flops Payment method (cash or credit or debit card). Lockers will be provided free of charge.
A credit card number is required as a deposit when making a reservation. Payment is made upon arrival by cash or credit/debit card.
Yes. The OWD course is designed specifically for beginners and includes full training in safety, equipment handling, and underwater behavior. All dives are conducted with certified instructors.
Graduates receive an internationally recognized PADI or SDI Open Water Diver certification, allowing diving to a depth of up to 18 meters.
Yes, all necessary diving equipment is provided during the entire course.
Courses are usually available in English language. But Russian and Hebrew are available as well.
The full Open Water Diver course typically takes 5 days, depending on the group, weather conditions, and learning pace.
Transportation is not included. However, the dive center is easily reachable by car, taxi, or local transport within Eilat.
Yes. Options include: Diving masks with prescription lenses (available for rent) Wearing contact lenses underwater
